Paul Rodriguez

Paul Rodriguez

Born in and resided in Compton then moved to Santa Fe Springs at the age of 10
When Paul was around the age of 9 his Cousin Art, DJ Ooh La La was his first DJ influence back in the late 70’s. He was mesmerized by the disco beats at an early age. When Cousin Art wasn’t practicing and was out and about Paul would jump on the turntables and practice often getting caught but this did not stop him. Paul did his first gig at age 12 when his cousin Art asked him to fill in for him so he could go mingle with the ladies…and the rest is history…..
In the early 80’s Paul was spinning Disco and funk. Then In 1982 he met Legendary Graffiti artist George “Sen One” Morillo from NY who introduced Paul to Hip Hop and Electro beats where Paul then honed his skills in Scratch DJ’ing, then along came freestyle, hi-energy, house, trance and other types of music. He has no preference of what he plays, he plays for the people and what the crowd wants to hear. When he gets the crowd moving and having a good time he feels a sense of accomplishment.
His style is “Versatility”…
Paul has played at many Clubs and venues throughout the years such as Club 47, Tingles, Michaels, Kennedy Hall, The Casa, Florentine Gardens, The RadioTron, Peppers, Red Onion, Stock Exchange & Fantasia Puente Hills.
The hardest thing Paul did was set aside his music for a few years to further his education graduating with a degree in electronic engineering. His passion for music never left him while he was pursuing his education, He is now making his comeback with the support of his wife Camille.
Paul is looking forward to playing with other top DJ’s in the future, and /or playing at big events, charities, clubs or even private parties. Sky’s the limit…
Most recently Paul was asked to be part of The LA Party Radio Team and is looking forward to bringing his versatility to the Team.
